Since the rusting process is a natural process, some pieces have smooth, mellow tones of a darker leather look and others have lighter rusted hues. Other finishes are also available for most items. A "re-seal" application of polyurethane is recommended (as needed) for fixtures used in Wet Locations. Mica shade panels are mineral mica flakes, combined with organic shellac, making each mica shade unique in variations of mineral deposit patterns and color tones.
